Hello mappers. As the creator of the Zerg Hunter RPG series, I would like to extend an invitation for 1-2 talented individuals to join me on the team.
UPDATE: Thank you all for your interest. I have been approached by a number of aspiring individuals and have expanded my team in order to help bring future content out faster. I am currently not looking for more team members.
If you have not heard of my map already, you can read more about it at my website: www.zhrpg.net. ZHRPG: Betrayal has been featured by Blizzard in the US, is very popular in SEA, and is coming soon to the EU (as soon as some server-side bugs are resolved). The next chapter of the series is currently in production.
My requirements are the following:
have a basic understanding of triggers and how trigger actions interact (if/then statements, loops, arrays, variables, conditions, etc.)
have a basic understanding of the data editor and how various parts of it interact (unit -> actors -> weapons/abilities/movers/etc)
are willing to take the time to learn and improve on what you already know
are willing to contribute a healthy amount of time to working on the series (that means completing things on time whenever possible, but not stressing out if work/school/life happen)
What I offer in return:
I will teach you. You will help create the ZHRPG series under my guidance and assist me with the inner workings of the editor.
You will help influence the future of the series
You will receive early access to future content
What I would like from those interested: show initiative! Show me that you have the basics down and are willing to learn more. What I mean by that is, send me a very simple map file with things like: custom units/abilities/heroes/actors, triggers using variables, if/then statements, dialogs, images, scripted events, etc.
An ideal candidate will dedicate himself to the series and become a pivotal contribution to its future.
I can be contacted here, at my website, or at my e-mail: [email protected]
I would be very interested in working under a more experienced mapper. I know the basics of the editor and am able to figure out how to do most more advanced techniques. I attached a map with a trigger based Journal system and a neat non leveling hero. I can do Triggers, Data and Terrain (although I am rather poor at terrain) and am willing to learn. I regularly check this site so you can respond to this thread or PM me.
UPDATE: I am currently reviewing potential applicants. Feel free to continue with demos of your work, but understand that I may not be able to accommodate more mappers interested in joining the ZHRPG team.
Ugh, this is really making me sad. This is pretty much the chance of a lifetime for me, but I played the first ZHRPG several times through and I know I just can't make something of that level.
You know, if your looking for help with story concepts I am pretty good in that field. I'm studying creative writing and actually writing my own novel right now, so if you need any help with that, just let me know. :)

Would you mind if I use your demonstration map for learning purposes?

@StatusQ3, I might also recommend this as a means to learn: http://forums.sc2mapster.com/resources/tutorials/16032-zerg-hunter-rpg-betrayal-unlocked/

Thank you, but creativity is not my problem. It's manpower, haha (though if the new apprentices pull their weight, that problem will soon be gone).
I am a bit of a writer myself. Currently trying to get a novel published.

Alright, didn't know. :) I'd help but I find a lack of time between writing, college and life in the mix. :) Sorry!

If only there were 48 hours in a day :-/

That's exactly my thinking. Imagine the time with SC2 I would have!
