I followed both the Uberlisk tutorial and then the beginner tutorial(Attachment Turret/Bunker) and for some god forsaken reason, my missile won't fire out of the SITE actor.
My cannon is properly attached to the base unit. Both SiteOps Attachment and SiteOps Offset actors do their proper jobs. The cannon properly animates during the launch of the missile. The missile works fine. The impactFX works fine. The damage works fine.
But my missile doesn't fire from the ground anymore either. It fires from the WEAPON of the BASE unit.
AS PER BEGINNER TUTORIAL - SITE ACTOR:
Create a new Actor named "Beam Example Site" with Actor Type: Site
set Host +: "Attachment Turret"
set Host Site Operations +: SOpAttachWeapon
Replace Beam Example Site with Cannon Site and Attachment Turret with Cannon. (Attachment Turret is attached to the Attachment Bunker in the tutorial - mine is attached to the Base Unit)
AND
ACTION ACTOR
set Launch Site: Beam Example Site (Actor)
Again, replace Beam Example Site with Cannon Site
But the Host Site Ops + attach's to the base unit's weapon. I want it to attach to the Host's(Cannon) Weapon point.
WHY WON'T IT WORK!? I've completely redone my map 3 times now. It's always the SITE ACTOR that never works on any of them.
Followed the tutorial(s) TO THE EXACT LETTER, ignoring Shield Attachment, and Turret since it's not a turret, just a weapon.
My only concern is that it doesn't work because this needs a turret(even though I ignored everything about the turret), where as this weapon only fires at 45 degree angle, turrets shoot 360(not what I want).
