It might just be a symbol, and it also might have a lot of meanings. But it reminds people of the 3rd Reich, that's what counts.
I'm generally a pretty sarcastic guy. I make jokes about everything, including nazis, jews and all that stuff (which, as a German, is already pretty much of a sacrilege..). Well, most of my friends don't care about that, but I have a polish friend, about my age, who's lost his grandparents during the War. I think it even was in a concentration camp.
And even though he knows about the different meanings of the swastika it's still anything but a pleasant memory for him, as you can guess.
So for some people it's not just a symbol. However, most of the people are probably just swastika-phobic ~
Also, even though I usually don't give a damn, even I would be displeased seeing people start wearing swastikas with or on them as a sign of bhuddism or hinduism or whatnot.
And yea, if some organisation conquers a quarter of the world and murders millions of people in the name of the Great Spoon, I think people will stop having soup for dinner for a looong looong time.

Jesus, It's NOT Blizzard's pathing that makes the units move in a swastika-shaped form. It's clearly Cyrileo's work, as he set-up his triggers in a way that makes EVERY wave ALWAYS move that way.
That's like I place some buildings in a swastika shape and say "Hell, it's Blizzard's buildings. Not my fault that they're in that shape." Do you guys even read what you're writing here? Once something happens people always freak out and exaggerate it into oblivion!
There's nothing wrong in criticizing Blizzard's actions, but please pleease stay with the facts.
Blizzard will obviously not ban a map just because your units could maybe happen to form a inapropriate symbol. Everyone who really thinks that should get their brain examined, as there's apparently something wrong with it.
guess thats how activision can further increase revenues? by making map makers buy several accounts to publish maps, in case on of their maps accidentally has some units move in certain directions?
And this is stupid enough to deserve it's own quote!
When Blizzard gives away free copies of SC2 it's because they want more people to get addicted to their games so they can squeeze the last bit of money out of it!
Blizzard didn't give us the editor because they're nice to us. They want us to do maps (and then steal them from us muhahahar!) so people would play SC2 longer!
Leaving Battle.net as a free-to-play service was obviously just a vicious move to make more people buy the game so they could leech even MORE money once they introduce micro payments!
Is there actually anything Blizzard's doing where people NOT immediately refer to how they can get money out of it?
[/rage]
Now, I don't think it was intended. And I also think that banning that map for something like that is kinda unfair.
Blizzard still thought it was necessary to remove this map and I can see why. Though they're overcautious in my opinion.
Anf fixing that is easy, too. Just let the units pause 2 seconds before they move towards the middle. They'll gather as a ball and not form that evil sign that kills babies and kittens.
@AlexO6: Go
