First time poster, new to SC2 map editing. I have a question regarding the editor. I am making a melee map
Terrain Objective: to make a Volcano and to have it erupt a Psi storm, damaging to all units, every 30 seconds.
I thought this would be easy, I opened the Trigger tool
Events Timer - Every 30.0 seconds of Game Time
Actions Environment - Create High Templar - Psi Storm (Damage3) at (Center of Storm) from player null
-Storm being a region on the map.
This doesnt work :(. I have tried player 0, I have tried creating an normal explosion in the area and when I test the map I can hear the explosion every 30 seconds but I cant see it :( Can people point me in the right direction with map effects, btw being a melee map I'd rather not have to go down the road of hiding templars underneath the map and have them auto casting.
You'd probably have to look into actors and create a new ability with the desired effects, or trigger the damage. But this wont be a melee map. Anything with triggers or custom units, etc, anything other than the default stuff, is not considered a melee map. This would be a UMS map, sort of like fastest now is.

It's only that way because melee maps are supposed to be fair. Allowing triggers would imbalance it.
