The problem: I'm unable swap a marines texture. I uploaded the image and changed its path and got this message. Unable to import file (Core: a required object could not be found): \Assets\Textures\marinexpreward_diffuse_blood.dds
I exported the texture and modified it in gimp. Once I was done I exported it into .dds format using the export tool inside Gimp.
Details: When I was done with the image it was around 5 megabytes in size. This is an increase of 4 megabytes from the original .dds image. I think it may have something to do with the compression and such. I only used what it displayed as default for the compression.
The options for exporting is Compression/Format/Mipmaps. I'm not sure what to have these settings adjusted to
I have successfully swapped textures for .tga but not .dds
Any advise on how to do this correctly would be appreciated. I only have gimp to modify images.
