Fot those who dont know it:
4 Teams, 3 players each team.
Every player has a main building (tier) which spawns units (the "footmen") all the time + each player has a hero.
For killing enemy units you get xp and gold which you can use to buy items for your hero or upgrade your tier so it spawns better units.
Theres 7 heroes, 20 skills, 30 items (potions, weapons, recipes, ...)
The map is still beta but 100% playable.
The map is online in BNet so feel free to play it. (Just search for "Footmen", author is "senfkatze" (my bnet name) )

I think that you are only allowed to post reviews here, not promoting the map. i might be wrong.
Footmen frenzy was my favourite map on wc3, i always wanted to recreate it in sc2.
Have u ever considered joining a mapmaking team? You'll be still making your maps, just with some help of the team and releasing it under 1 name

@pepper: never thought about joining a mapmaking team. problem is, i always want to do things my way, this may cause some conflict. maybe i would do this, at least give it a try.... but not for this map, maybe for future projects

the better way to give feedback would be to say why the map is good / bad, what has to be changed and so on... you know what i mean ?
because usually people who come and say "the map is bad" or something like that have just played it once and lost and are pissed because they expect to play and win immediately

- You can only select a random Hero
- Hero Stats are not balanced at all (Stone Zealot 1300 Health at Level 1? Really?)
- When you tech Tier 1, you have no Air-Attackers. Carriers fuck you over in that case.
- You can spend your Attribute Points yourself, such creating a Hero with a shitton of health.
- You can only increase you damage with new weapons, instead of maxing Attributes auto-scale and just having +Damage.
- No Custom UI to place Items in a good way for easy-access.
- Ridiculous Damage from the Grenade Launcher
- Hero Balance overall totally fucked up

Im inclined to believe and take Gorandor`s word here. I for one am far less tolerant of bad maps, So I wont bother to play or try this.
The standard and level of quality expected in maps these days is much much greater than anything in the past.
We aren`t being harsh or anything, just brutally honest. Which is ultimately to your benefit.
im always thankful for critics, but the things you wrote and the way you wrote em.... most of them rather show that you didnt really get how to play the map. i dont want to reply to every single point know, just an example. stone zealot got more hp than other heroes therefore hes extremely slow. if you know footmen from wc3, theres a similar hero, called avalanche. i never had a problem to kill enemy stone zealots in my map.

Well I don't like footmen maps ever since War3 footmens, and from what people says, those unbalanced heroes things must remind us of some bad days with all those WC3 unbalanced hero maps thrown at Battle.net and quite popular (gogo DemonHunter with max AGI tomes - and I never could understand the Avalanche hero either)
But seriously just point the guy at the right direction !
Less features means more balance. Just make an intuitive game with counter and suchs.

yea ppl are really fast to jump the gun , the part where he thought the hero was imba when he was basically based of avalanche and moves very slow, basically shows to me , people aren't willing too give maps are a fair try .
Anyway most people that crit a map, dont really like the game-type itself, so if i was you i wouldn't take it seriously, even if you made a perfect clone it will never be good enough, cause some peeps hate frenzy type maps. thats just how it is, Keep up the good work. and btw not allowing fast tech is the correct choice to do, It was stripped from nohunters versions for a reason, you complained about balance, but fast teching is one of the most imbalanced things in the game.. clearly the complainer never experience mass creep/fast tech +2 super fast leveling heroes cause of it. the only counter towards it, was to basically mirror it, this streamlined play completely....... No fast tech = lost.

Just some advice. Try to be more creative with the map name. "Footmen" ?. Im sure you can do better than that;p. Its very generic and kinda boring.
thats the name of the original map. I want people to know that my map is based on the "footmen" map from wc3. thats why i called it that way

What I noticed is that Gorandor is very rude guy. Probbly its in his nature, so I'll just get used to it :P .
