Im having trouble with a model. The model is showing the part that should stay hidden until near the end of its death animation. I will attach a sreenshot of that.
My request would be :
Make that part invisible until when it starts to fall (easy to spot on its death animation(atleast in 3ds max))
Or
Delete that part completely
Btw I did try to do this on my own. Im new to 3dsmax so when I exported the model to m3 after deleting that part I ended up with a textureless model.
Keep in mind that Starcraft 2 handles death differently than WoW does. In WoW it's just an animation that spawns an extra model. That doesn't happen in SC2; instead, you have your standard model and your death model.
That Dreadlord needs to be split in two. When you export it try removing the death animation and see if that works. If that does the trick then export a death version of it with only that animation.
If that doesn't do the trick let us know and someone can edit that out in 3ds Max.

I've spent the night studying 3ds max , so now i could edit that part out myself.
What I don't understand is why are the parts i make invisible during animations in 3ds max still visible in SC2.
Is there a special trick to making invisible parts?
If there is no way to make the part invisible then I will really have to cut out the death animation into another model.
Honestly I'm going to bet that maybe SC2 doesn't handle making an object hidden for some animations and show for others. That would explain why they have death models in the first place. I know SC2 can handle having objects in a mesh hidden though, because Nova holds what looks like a combo, between a sword and a baton, while editing her in 3ds Max.

That isn't necessary. The death animation can be in the same model file as the rest of the animations.

I am assuming your exported model was textureless because you did not apply any material to the meshes.
