Thanks. Here's egon, modeled after Borderland's Soldier class a bit.
He'll have a turret that emits temporary shields to nearby players, and another that gives very high HP regen to those nearby.
I don't want to force anyone to be "dedicated healer", so his abilities revolve around dealing damage while healing a target in the fray of battle.
So for a new brainstorm topic, Anyone able to help me think of some cool unique bosses for a defense like game?
Thus far, I've created 2 boss waves:
First Boss: Nydus Round: the classic "Nydus Worm" attacking sort of wave. It spawns one nydus worm per player, first to the south of the castle's walls, that periodically send off waves of zerglings. Added a random spice of banelines (burrowed) coming out of the ground at random points on the map, suicide rushing Raynor and/or a nearby player. Also after about 15 seconds, a second Nydus worm per player starts popping up INSIDE the base, if player takes too long to kill worms outside the upper ones will take advantage with the closer point and potentially kill raynor if you slack too much.
Second Boss: War of the Worlds: I did a unique tweak to Colossus, general idea: Crunching laser shooting aliens. increasing their size substantially and forcing them to follow some random pathing movements. 2 Colossus spawn per player, one picks an alive player at random and starts moving to their current position. another colossus picks a random offset near the player and moves towards this position. Their thermal lances have much higher range, along with the ability to attack while moving. Colission set to 0, and they also have a periodic behavior that deals damage in a small radius below them. If they get on top of you, especially multiple ones, you'll get killed. Keeps you on your toes and if you take 2 minutes to kill them all, they all pick Raynor as the target and you're pretty much screwed then (They will kill Raynor FAST if you didn't kill them quick enough).
I plan to make about 10 more boss rounds at least. Here's some ideas I've brainstormed.
global delayed AoE blast at player position (with prewarning effect). This may be a good way to make a stationary boss (Overmind, Space Diablo, etc) do an effect while holding still. It would force you to keep moving your position. I could also flag the boss invulnerable at first and have pre-targets you have to kill in order to unlock hurting him, such as "power" buildings that until slayed prevent you from killing the primary target.
Any other ideas, from other games or in general you think would be a fun encounter to try to beat?

Finished up Odin tank, so up to 3 heroes done.
Here's a sneak peak at Odin with my newly written jump skill for him.
This is a very nice map, good luck!
