Prophecy of the Void will be a cooperative version of the Wings of Liberty campaign mission "Whispers of Doom", but with a completely different gameplay. With new units and customizable upgrades you have to find the Prophecy, which was divided into fragments, each kept at separate Shrines. This Map shall make you feel as if you are playing a real Campaign Mission made by Blizzard, but with 2 Players.

Heroes:
Zeratul:
Zeratul's fighting style has been changed entirely. He is a revered Dark Templar mystic with a powerful melee attack which provides energy in combat. He can use 'Void Walk' and 'Void Spheres'.
Phase Cloak (passive): Cloaks Zeratul as long as he has energy.
Void Walk: Allows Zeratul to intercept nearby enemies and provides 50 energy.
Void Spheres: Zeratul creates 2 clones of himself. Clones deal half damage, take double damage, and last 20 seconds.
Karass:
Karass is a legendary wielder of psionic energies. He can use 'Psionic Storm' and 'Plasma Surge'. Also he is able to attack air and ground units.
Psionic Storm: Creates a storm of psionic energy that lasts 4 seconds, causing up to 100 damage to all units in the target area.
Plasma Surge: Recharges 100 shield points for all friendly Protoss units and structures in the target area.
Each Player will control one of those two Heroes.
Enemy
The Enemy will be the Zerg Swarm, divided into 3 Forces with different characteristics. Also, some special Zerg Units will appear to make it even harder to reach the Xel'Naga Shrines.
Additional Information
This map is now online on EU Servers and can be tested! But don't forget that this project is still in the polishing state and I would love to hear some of your feedback!
Things that will be tweaked / added in the future:
More Terrain Decorations and Textures
Cinematics
Performance (Lag issues for people playing with lower settings)
I suppose this'll get more views once it'll get newsed, but if you have the luck of stumbling upon this thread - try it. It's a damn good map. Polish is done very well, balance is near-perfect and it's just lots of fun to play with a buddy.
Of course, once Prophecy of the Void is at a certain polished state and the feedback is good, I will look for someone to upload it on the US Battle.net servers. :)
Edit: I have added 2 observer slots. The first 2 players joining the game will always be the players, and the last 2 can observe the game.
something i noticed which im not sure if you mean it to be like this or not but if you go and open a library when your playing on your own you cant open any others because the other hero cant be moved
sorry that i didn't respond. Well, actually it is intended because this map has to be played with 2 players. When you move the other hero to the Library the missing player will see the Library Menu, but because there is noone to select an Upgrade, the shared hero won't be able to move after the activation of the Library.
I have removed the map from battle.net because there were lag issues with people who didn't have very good Pcs. I have done everything I could to ensure that no Triggers are run which are not needed, but the lags still occur. Sadly, this project will be frozen until I will have the motivation to continue, though i doubt it will happen. My guess is that the engine is just not made for such huge maps with masses of units moving around. =/
I haven't played this game so I don't really know how it actually plays out, but if you cannot be in all sections of a map at a time maybe you could spawn the units with triggers only when players get near, but definetely far enough to not see them spawn. That way you won't have tons of lag like when you have the units on the map at all times.
the thing is that the waves are done via AI-Triggers like in the official Blizzard Campaign Maps. Also there are many expansions on the map, so it would be difficult to do it the way you mentioned.
If I am not mistaken, Blizzard plans to release a better debugging tool for custom maps. Maybe then it will be possible to find the solution for the lag issue.
I have uploaded Prophecy of the Void once again and will polish it from time to time. If you guys who tried it have some suggestions to improve the map, I'd love to hear it.
Are you looking for a NA hoster? I know someone who is himself looking for someone trustworthy to upload his own map Weapons & Merchants on EU servers. Maybe you two could start a partnership?
His name is Ricky_Honejasi; you can find him on Campaign Creations.
well, I think that I will try to upload it on an US-Server soon, but before that i want to polish Prophecy of the Void a bit more. There are still things that annoy me and have to be fixed. The thing is that I am updating the map several times a day and this won't be possible on an US-Server.
Today I have changed the following things:
Observer Slots have been removed.
The Terrain has been tweaked once more (more space in narrow paths; but still, there is much work to do here)
Kerrigan will use her 'Razor Swarm' ability more frequently.
Pushing too fast to Kerrigan's base (while skipping the Xel'Naga Shrines in the north west and east) will result in reduced waiting time until Kerrigan appears
The Stalker's 'Blink' ability is available by default and doesn't need to be researched (like the Zealot's 'Charge' ability). Now it will be possible to enhance the 'Blink' ability by the 'Blink Spheres' Upgrade at the Twilight Council.
Zeratul won't notify you about the Templar Archives if you see these from the cliff above anymore
Increased the 'Warp Gate' Upgrade's cost from 50/50 to 200/150 (because of the different Warp In mechanic of the Warp Gate)
Pushing too fast to Kerrigan's base (while skipping the Xel'Naga Shrines in the north west and east) will result in reduced waiting time until Kerrigan appears
Just a little notice; don't you think that's too harsh of a punishment? I can understand why you'd do it (cannoning off Kerrigan's spawn much, lol?), but depending on the difficulty, this basically means that if you don't know the map lay-out and just end pushing towards Kerrigan's base instead of west- or eastwards, you basically can't win the game anymore. With the reduced waiting time in place it's going to be impossible to even try and head to the east or west - the main reason my buddy & me were able to finish the map was because we had the sideways cleared when we got to dealing with Kerrigan.
Unless Kerrigan doesn't spawn until you've actually cleared out her base, similar to how it didn't spawn until you reached the eastern or western library. In that case, all this would be void =P

The "cannoning off Kerrigan's spawn" was hilarious and I'm still laughing about it when I visualise this in my head. :D
Kerrigan's base is supposed to be unclearable, though with enough effort (but without much gain) it is still possible to get in. This is one of the issues I want to fix and this will be solution until I find a better one. Also, if you push forward so fast, you will meet not much resistance because the Zerg Waves are not powerful enough. I will look into this very closely.
Because of the latest Patch and the Game Variants changes the Hero Selection and Shared Unit Control Option in the Lobby have been temporarily disabled. Now, Player 1 will always control Zeratul, Player 2 will always control Karass. If you want to control Zeratul make sure to join the game first. The Shared Unit Control Option can be toggled ingame as usual.
Restored the High Templar's 'Khaydarin Amulet' Upgrade
I'm not sure if really anybody cares because this is a rather unpopular map genre, but I am currently working on Version 2.0 of 'Prophecy of the Void' that will contain important changes regarding the Terrain and Gameplay.
Since some people bookmarked this Map I have to make sure that 'Prophecy of the Void' represents my vision of a Co-op-Map, which it doesn't in its current state. So I will try to make things right in Version 2.0.
Well its a good map but cant play it atm couse its removed...any way 2 make it playeble whit out the map 2 be posted on coopvs ai games?(i have the map but cant invite a friend 2 play it now...)or atleast make it posible for 1 person in any case there arent 2 players for the game,i mean 2 be able 2 control the other base and be able 2 build stuff, would be a chalenge for people trying 2 practice focuse and macro.

Well, I know I do. I love these kind of maps. I hope you do something about the lag though. I played this with my brother a while back, and my fps didn't go any higher then 7, and my brother's game crashed twice around the 1 hour mark, even though he has a more powerfull machine then I do.

Due to the changes in the Terrain and Gameplay I'm already working on the lag issues and the possibility to play 'Prophecy of the Void' alone.
The performance issue is a very persistent one... and it's giving me a headache.

Looks great! There should be more coop versions of WoL's missions like this one and Left 2 Die.
