Hi guys, I'm working on a Minigame Map similar to that Raynor's Party. I made this thread to gather minigame ideas and keep you updated on the progress.
I have quite a few ideas already. but was wondering if anyone has any contributions? All games should be very simple but with a luck element. Is there anyone you've always wanted to see?
Currently it's 4 players, I'll keep it that way for beta for easy testing and game filling. Eventually it will go up to 8-10 we'll see.
Some of the current games with screenies (soon):
Battle Ships
Player controls 1 Battle Cruiser each. The goal is to be the last survivor.
You can slowly wither each other down with Laser Fire.
You can also risk using a Yamato Cannon - Heavy damage but 50% chance to backfire onto yourself instead.
Prisoner Roulette
Players control 1 imobile Prisoner each. Tychus stands in the center spinning round slowly attempting to shoot you each 1by1. He has 1 bullet and 6 shots. When 1 of you dies his bullets and shots reset.
There will be abilities you can use like 'Nudge' to next player, I'm still working this out thou.
Lucky 7
Players control 1 Stalker each. There are 7 circles in a line, landing on them gets you points but the further ones are worth more.
You can move forwards randomly 1-6 circles then choose to collect points or try again.
Im not really fan of your ideas and I can say that I really dont like the idea of heavilly luck based minigames. If its just like picking random items its just plain anoying than fun.
raynor party had 2 good minigames and those were the reason why I played it couple of times. The hellion thing and the dark templar arena. The typing thing was kinda interesting too, but badly implemented.
some randomnes is completely fine, like the marauder minigame in raynor...but pure randomnes to win...not good
The idea with luck is that it gives new players a good chance of doing fairly well but still having experienced skilled players generally win overall. But I do intend to have two modes, a normal mode and a skilled mode that can be unlocked for more 'pro' games.
I'm close to beta testing now, so gonna give this a bump, open to more minigame ideas!

At the moment I'm aiming to have it playable for Sunday, so all priorities lie in getting 8 games fully working at the moment. Will be needing testers and alot of feedback!

There is so much you can do.
race where you have to reach the end. lights go red, yellow, green (you know?)
baneling arena (banelings randomly spawn and roll trough the arena, damage uppon contact)
sumo arena (try to push your opponent off the arena). probly blink and charge spells, maybe more too.
I could probly come up with more...I guess these ideas aint exactly new though
Assassins
all dt's, cloak for X second, reveal for short time, everyone goes back cloak, etc
Tassadar Says
tassadar says burrow, gotta burrow fast or death, stuff like that
Dodgeball
a ball moving around in an arena getting faster over time, or sudden reflects. touches you = death
so much stuff you can do w/ this editor as stated above

Please remember thou the games should have alot of LUCK tied into them.
