Why Blizzard... whyyyyyyyy? Being a huge fan of LEGO minifigs I can only say it is epic fail for Blizzard, more than that popularity system. It sends all hope of official LEGO marine suits to hell. The Zerg will never be able to overrun my clone troopers or my Toy Story army men. Zeratul will never duel with Darth Vader to prove which one owns the dark side/void.
LEGO company is far bigger than Mega Brands. Probably it wasn't an easy negotiation. But can you imagine a LEGO version of SC2? Like those Star Wars games, with minifigs falling apart when they die... Maybe in an alternative dimension it happened lol.
I don't know anything about "Megablocks" thing but yes it is propably just cheaper to use something called "Megablocks" instead of using lego with billion copyrights.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo............................... THEY CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!!! MEGA BLOKS ARE CHEAP AND CRAPPY QUALITY!!!!!! I want my Lego goliath NAO!!!
Don't really care, it's Lego, worth every penny usually. Besides Mega Bloks is going to screw things up, like they always do with their cheesy looking parts and their cheap plastics.
@Reaper872: I feel this way too. Mega Bloks is a cheap crappy copy of LEGO.
And I forgot to say Blizzard signed for WoW Mega Bloks too. So only the Diablo series is still "free" but I doubt they would sign with LEGO just for one of their games.
Might be because Lego thought it was too violent and archaic or something >.<. Go figure. That's the only reason I can think they didn't get a Lego deal besides the fact Lego would have wanted too much of the cutt. I still think Blizzard would have made more money with Lego if they bit the bullet.
Lol @MetalupisURLNew meaning to the term "having the wrong build"
Violence is no argument, as they have Star Wars and Prince of Persia (I do think StarCraft2 is more violent though). Alcohol and drugs are known to be avoided by LEGO company, but now they have a Pirates of the Caribbean series, and Jack Sparrow alone drinks more alcohol than the whole Hyperion crew. Maybe they don't want Stimpacks legalized? ;-)

What do you guys think?
@SoulFilcher: Go
My guess is that Blizzard tried to have LEGO sets. but LEGO, for whatever reason, decided not to let them do that. I really don't know lol.
maybe blizzard got bought out by megablocks, which would seriously explain away their cluelessness when it comes to gaming service

My reaction is similar to this.
I for one am glad.
If they made a deal with LEGO, I'd be 100's of dollars poorer soon.

Fairly obvious if you ask me. I own ONE mega bloks car that I got as a gift and the parts fall apart while I don't even touch it.

Megablocks suck.
And no, the violence argument is bullshit, because Lego does have violent stuff. Just check their catalogs.

I go for LEGO asking for too much in their deal.
What was this about, I'm curious ?
Is this about the new Lego (Megablock) merchandise selling for blizzcon ?
lol i'm the youngest mapper alive and i don't give a shit... i can tell you that no one has ever heard of mega blocks
A lot of people have heard of mega blocks.
