I originally wanted to make it so when my hero ran thru the unit/item, the item/unit would disappear and an ability was added to the hero.. But I couldnt figure out how to make the distance/range crap, so I just went with attacking ;b
I have not yet done much modifying to units, but my suggestion is you simply make it an upgrade and "upgrade them" so they have it. it makes it easy to toggle it on/off as opposed to adding the ability and removing it (the engine probably likes it more too)
You must add the ability to the unit in the data editor. The enable/show ability triggers don't add new abilities to units, they just enable abilities that were previously disabled or hidden via triggers.

I want an ability to be add'ed when a specific unit is killed.
This is my current trigger, but I cant seem to see why the ability wont be add'ed to the attacking unit. Anyone? =)
