Hi everyone I just need some pointers on a new map. How can you make it night and day and howdo you make it so at night if you don't make a fire monsters will attack you. And the obvious how do trigger a fire to dothat oh and i need a radius for fire to and how to beable to make it so you can place down a fire. And maybe throw in a detailed tutorial or anything I don't even know if this is possible I really need help please reply.
That's quite a lot that you're asking for. A good start would be for that search to around for tutorials on day/night cycles, and making units and abilities.
Start with a day/night cycle, like Nebuli suggested. My tip would go with this one by QMJC, I used it yesterday and just modified some values to suit my need and it worked perfectly.
And after that, I would think the monster attacking part could be solved by a "If, Then, Else" trigger that runs at the same time as "Environment - Set lighting to Mar Sara Campaign Night, blending over 15.0 seconds" which checks if you have a fire, and if you don't you can do "issue order - attack guy without fire"
Didn't really go into so much detail, but I hope it gives you an idea on how to go about it.

My tip for you would be to open up the map "THanson02.SC2" in the campaign tab when you load a map file and take a look in the Scripted Events>Day/Night Cycle folder, it has everything you need
