Can someone explain to me how I can give myself a blank background. I am trying to give the effect of deep space. I have read through several other posts about similar topics and have already investigated the terrain sets in the data editor. After removing the values that i thought controlled the background picture, I was unable to place any units in the editor, Even after reseting all my changes. I then realized I could create a map with no terrain. But, I was then unable to move the units (even flying ones) when the game started. Can someone either explain to me how I remove the validator that is preventing objects from moving without terrain or in detail how i remove the background image. Thanks.
I'm sure this can be done through triggers, it should be under UI . I can test it later... but what's wrong with creating a map on say, Braxis Alpha and then removing all the terrain? You can add asteroids, etc.
If you're anxious, load up Blizzard's Lost Viking map and see how they did it.
