I'm making a fast-paced map that has loot. I don't want the players to stop fighting in order to walk over and pick up an item. So I made these items as units that would drop as loot. These units have an auto-cast ability that starts a trigger when a unit is in range. It tells the loot to move to the unit that was auto-casted and once near, give him the reward and destroy the unit. Think rings in Sonic when you have the magnetic sphere. Unfortunately, the unit does not auto-cast my spell. The spell calls an effect which applies a dummy behavior, nothing of which is hostile. I have Auto-Cast enabled and Auto Cast On enabled. It is Defensive, autocast filters to Ally or Player. Target requires ground. No resource or energy requirements. When I control these units in game I have no problem casting the ability. It's just that the units don't do it themselves. Is there an extra option I'm missing somewhere? Thanks.
Of course the next time I load up my map it works. Sorry!
