Ok, So I feel dumb for asking this, but darnit the answer is totally eluding me!!! How in the heck to I create a single player map and have the AI (computer) actually do something and start building and attacking etc?
Everytime I try and create a simple map, and test it, the computer just sits there and their units don't do anything.
Can someone tell me the step-by-step to simply create a playing field, setup some minerals/vespene, add a base, and play?
I just want to play some simple stuff like that against the AI so I can develope some strategy across races, I don't want anything fancy, but I can't even figure out how to make the computer play against me.
Someone please help or point me to a "for dummies" guide in this area?
Instead of making a whole new map, why don't you just load up SC2, click "Single Player" up at the top, then click "Play Versus AI". Or are you trying to make it so the AI will attack or something at a certain time?
I Just want to make some custom maps for myself to play vs. the computer... I wouldn't think it would be hard for me to make a new map, throw a few buildings/resources down, put a computer base on the other side of the map and click play.
But for some reason I just cant figure out how to make the computer fight me when I make my own map.
You did add a start location for yourself and the computer? (It is what spawns the starter buildings/units if you do not touch any triggers). You shouldn't put down buildings on the map yourself but just add the start location.

Ok so you're saying to just add minerals/vespene and no buildings if I want the AI to work right? I'll give that a shot...
