for some reason force field stopped working, I get a simple 'Error' message whenever i try to cast the spell. I haven't toyed around with the object editor that much yet, wonder if anyone might know why it stopped working.
All i did was check the flags of the force field itself, clicked around on the spell and the sentry es well but didn't change anything. can't find any green lettering anyway. tried to reset to default but that didn't help
Could it be that the grid that should appear is gone? I don't want to copy all my terrain and triggers is there a way to reset the object data?
I got the same problem right now. I haven't changed anything on the Force Field ability / behaviour / effect and on the sentry i only changed the energy regeneration rate. What is going on here? How did you fix it?
I had this problem a while back as well. I believe the problem I had was that the unit that the force field ability was creating had no actor. Creating a unit without an actor seems to crash the game fairly reliably. Resetting to default not helping does seem odd though.
It seems in the newer version of the editor that changing anything on a default entry creates a duplicate of the unit. Perhaps this duplicate unit does not have an actor associated with it?
Got the same issue with my Sentry too, I remember I was using the old Disruptor unit in the beta Galaxy Editor because Sentry's didn't exist yet but now that sentry's exist I think this may be related, however changing settings to default did nothing.
check if you changed something there. in my case i changed the neutral buildings controller accidentally from "neutral" to "none", what caused the force field error. changed it back and it works fine now.
Same here... my friends are a little upset about not putting a sentry's force field in. This is really annoying, as I would like to use this ability later on. @dingoo71: Go I'll try that, hope it works... thanks though.

I wish I remembered what I had done...
Anyone have the solution to this force field issue? I am having the same problem.. Didn't change anything with it and it's giving me issues.

@MapCrafter: Go
Same problem here.
My weird solution: Map / Player Properties.
