I have some rectangular areas of my map in which air units are not allowed to move.
I don't want to use the No fly zones, because it is quite long areas, like 2x30 yards, and no fly zones seem to be only circular.
The only things I can think of other than using no fly zones would be to either make the air units act as ground units (which probably doesn't achieve the desired effect). Or use regions along with triggers to not allow units to enter those regions.
I haven't tried the latter yet, but thats what I used to do in SC1. I don't think it would work as well as no fly zones though. They really need to add a brush for it instead of a solid location...
Hmm. I want the air units to be able to move up and down some cliffs, but not others, so only making them ground units wont do it. I haven't found any triggers that can set pathing (maby you can change it somehow with CatalogFieldValueSet(...) ?)
It wont work to order units to move out of the region, since I want the pathing algorithm to make the unit pick a path around it.

this trigger will work.. but it won't be an mele map anymore.
make a region and link it to this trigger
will make flying units turn around 180 degree and move 5 blocks away
