In my evolves map I was trying to fiddle around with the model of the CC so I can get it to fit in the center of a square piece of terrain I made and not be off to one side more (because it is 5x5 I needed to change the size to 4x4 and this and the placement contour thing we're the first things that popped into my head to try). Anyways, I changed the model size minimum and max values from 0.8 to 0.6, all of them. But now the editor crashes whenever I try to edit anything to do with this. I can't change it back and it turns out I need to so wtttffffff.
Anyone else encounter this or find a way around it?
Hold shift and place it. Building requirements ignored.
Just make another building with the CC model if you really need. IDK the crash.
Shift Clicking the building to place it doesn't work, it still requires it to be placed through the grid... unless I don't know a certain feature... and the building is created through triggers anyways. I managed to get the size fixed at least, but I still cant reset the whole building - if I do it crashes and there is definitely no way around it, I've tried) Oh well
On a side note, is there any way to allow buildings to be stacked in-game via players? Does it work the same way it did in SC? (Turn off lights and hotkey worker, etc?)
I seriously doubt that it will work like that for players to stack in SC2. Since you can't queue a building in the fog of war if you have seen a building there. You have to have seen a empty space to queue a building through fog of war. I have yet to see any maps that have a feature involving players stacking.
In the data editor, you can turn each individual structure to not display in the fog of war, thus it won't know if there is a building there or not when you go to queue a building. In either case, I believe you can set stacking limits on the build ability, so turning lights off/on is unnecessary.
