You know the "Rise of the New Agent" SC1 campaign I'm working on? Well... I just finished "Echoes of the Future" on the Prophecy missions and what is revealed about Kerrigan and the Overmind startles me. Now, I want to keep my campaign as close to the canon as possible because I want Kheldrun to feel like he's really part of the Starcraft Universe. In any case, the direction I was taking my campaigns (SC1 and SC2) may clash with the WoL Campaign, and possibly the HoS Campaign, too.
Kheldrun has a purpose from the Overmind. And he eventually learns that, but he also learns Kerrigan's purpose. The one I had in mind is much different from the WoL campaign (for Kerrigan). Any ideas on how to reconcile this? Because of their titles (both of them are "Agents" of the Swarm), I was going to have Kerrigan and Kheldrun clash a few times. Now, it seems more likely that Kheldrun would side with Kerrigan, but I'm not sure I want that.
Perhaps make whatever means Kheldrun discovers Kerrigans purpose to be discovered unrealiable, but only when it's actually too late. This way your campaign can also have a semi unhappy ending, leaving an opening for possible sequals.
Well, I want it to have a happy ending... sorta, in the sense that Kheldrun learns his own purpose. The idea was that Kerrigan's purpose and Kheldrun's purpose mirror each other. However, I could make it so that... who reveals Kheldrun's purpose to him does not necessarily reveal all of Kerrigan's purposes. Hmm... on a side note, I wasn't completely sure what you meant by your post besides the semi-unhappy ending part. XD
Possibly have it so towards the end there is one final clash between him and Kerrigan, but then she wins the fight and exiles him? But then in HoS he returns to do whatever you plan on doing with him then.
Err... haven't finished the campaign yet, so was that a spoiler? :P And the SC1 Kheldrun Campaign takes place before Zeratul destroys the second Overmind (that's the end of the campaign).
However, I had an idea that will make my original idea work AND fit with the canon! :D Thanks for all your suggestions, guys.
What I ment with my post was, that if someone tells Kheldrun of Kerrigans purpose, and then in the end, it turns out that the person was merely manipulating Kheldrun to fight Kerrigan even though she actuallyhad the same goals as him. YOu could add a happy ending by having Kheldrun defeat whoever lied to him

Interesting idea. I'll consider that. Right now, the end has something to do with the 3rd Mission, which is Kheldrun's dream.
Maybe put in before WoL, when kerrigan is still zerg.
