in my map when a hero dies, the camera zooms out and then the hero's owner can look around the map with a birds eye view, (clicking on the minimap to move view or by scrolling to the sides of the screen fast)
but now something is messed up...
however now when the hero dies, and the player goes to birds eye view, he cant interact with the minimap at all (no clicks on minimap work) and scrolling to the sides of the screen is really slow
anyhow know what is causing this? I have camera input unlocked but im not sure that is the reason...
Its a camera setting that you have somewhere. I would recommend just setting the camera back to its default settings when the hero dies, and then rotating the camera to a birds eye view instead of going directly from the 3rd person view.
So basically just add an action to your hero death trigger that applies the defaul game camera over a couple seconds, then zoom out and rotate to the birds eye view.
As for the mini-map, you most likely have that locked. Make sure to uncheck that flag, although I'm not sure where it is.
figured it out, it was because i had a trigger doing few camera actions (follow, pan, etc) 1 second before some variables were set, and so somehow that messed up the scrolling, and the minimap interactions
btw...does people lagging at the start of an online game (you know the screen saying " waiting on player", mess up the timing of triggers that have events based on elapsed game time? like if someone lagged for 30 seconds, would all the triggers (elapsed time is 1 second and other events with 30 second elaosed) suddenly fire at the same time instead of the normal elapsed time pace? amd thus mess things up?
