hey guys im new around here and im trying to make a battle hero arena where you win destroying a building. i found a cool doodad building and i want to be that building where u destroy it and win. how can i do that? is it on data or triggers or what? i double click in the doodad and theres nothing useful just some color/scale menus.
The way you would do this is with the triggers. the trigger would go something like...
Condition:
Player (1) (nexus) is destroyed
Action:
(Defeat) for player (1)
(Victory) for player (2)
is that what you are talking about?
If you are trying to make a doodad a unit you are going to hit a dead end. If you duplicate any random unit and go to the actors there is a section in the actors that allows you to change that unit to look like and doodad or unit you want it to look like. you can even have your own custom death and custom portrait when you click on it. is solution #2 what you are talking about?
Just create a normal building and change it's actor's Art - Model field to point to the model that you want. Run your trigger/script off of this new building and you're done.
