1. Is it possible for data editor to create backstab? I would want to explore the data editor before coding, because the data editor is really powerful now. The only limit i am not able to do a backstab with data editor is i can't find a validator that checks for unit facing angle.
2. How do i disable movement while casting an ability? I tried unchecking allow movement, but nothing happens..
3. How do i change walking animation of a unit? I can't find it under actor's events.
4. Is there a way to make Ability type: Effect - Instant to target the position of the caster instead of the caster itself?
1. I don't think there is one. Just because data editor is powerful, it doesn't mean u have to use it for tasks which are more simpler using triggers.
2. Add casting time (look up cast and finishing time). If you unticked allow movement it won't move but since the casting time is 0.0 seconds, it won't stop XP
3. Actor - Animation base lines - animation Properties (you will do face palm when you get there)
4. Effect Search - launch location, impact location: SET Caster Point; do the usual radius and etc and set the effect.
Another question that i can't seem to find with search..
- Is there a tutorial that explains the difference between caster, origin, outer, source, target unit? Caster and target are pretty straight forward, but what about outer, source and origin?
Srry to revive this old thread. My question is if it is possible to recreate a passive backstab effect (occurs on every attack) in the data editor, maybe as part of a set that includes the damage and the backstab using validators to check the unit facing angles and such.

I can't find this animation base lines for actors, where is it?
Under the unit's actor: Animation - Baselines +
