I'm looking for inspiration from maps that are partly done.
So I'm looking for:
Nice terrains
Interesting data things (simple enough for me)
Triggers that do something unique or interesting
Mission objective ideas
These things might be very simple. For example:
1. I found some old map with new unit on it and I copy-pasted things on raw XML and did my own changes and as a result I have new unit now.
2. I found two triggers that I haven't used earlier and I used those for objective of one mission
So, if you want to give me some inspiration please post that kind of things for this thread as map file, picture or code. This way if you can give me some ideas and if I like that idea enough and I have enough skill to do it that idea may "come alive" in some of my maps someday.
johnythewolf: Ashes of Freedom is nice campaign, I have played it. I have missed Purity of Form for some reason but that looks really nice campaign - going to play and inspect it. Recommend both campaigns for everyone. Purity of Form has voice acting + custom music!
Mozared: I inspected all your maps. I got inspiration from both showcase terrains. I'm going to make mission on Char soon so that gave me some inspiration. I really like jungle map too but I think its not possible to that kind of terrain for playable terrain - still got some inspiration from that. On Mar Sara terrain I really liked that tunnel you made by large rocks and tunnel entrance. Suddenly most inspiring part on The Turning map was the door :) I'm now looking for triggers and data things that affect doors. (Yes, cameras are nice too)
Its always fun to inspect maps. Usually I found inspiration from some very small things.
Going to release a map soon (1 month?), maybe you learn off it :) , btw I tested your lastest map, and I just thought you could add a more rewarding optional quest, than just defend the civilians and keep a current amount of civilians alive till the end of the mission. The mission could be improved more with the adding of default buildings to make it look more like you have settled on the planet (I had 200 units on the planet in the last mission on the planet, where are they now?), other than that, you are improving alot ;)
Thanks SheogorathSC that was inspiring. I'm was surprised that attaching grenade for Marauder was that simple (=no need to modify lot of actors etc.) That kind of prison building would be nice if I do a mission without base building someday.

"Infiltrate a unit into a base without calling the enemy's attention" is also good idea. Maybe some Cloak unit and idea is to avoid Science Vessels and other detectors.

Hello! I'm looking for inspiration again. I'm running out of mission objective ideas that fit for Terran vs Terran gameplay.
Most of my mission objectives are "destroy something" style.
Do any of these spark anything for you?
NOTE: These are just generic, they don't actually do anything except give ideas.
