I was hoping to not have to openly recruit, but here goes.
CUSTOM MAP REVIEWER
Description:
The custom map reviewer will play selected custom games three to five times each and will complete the appropriate survey, provided once the reviewer joins the team. The custom map reviewer may eventually be compensated for their work as demand for their reviews grow, or if significant contributions merit such. After the initial review, the custom map reviewer may be called upon to do follow-up reviews or head to head reviews, or perhaps video casts of their findings, all specific to needs.
The process: The custom map reviewer is assigned a review for the week. The map review ratings are kept on a spreadsheet, after playing the requisite number of games with the map, the reviewer simply needs to answer six simple questions and submit their ratings in the team dropbox, or private message to myself. Upon great interest or existing popularity, the custom map reviewer may be asked to write an article or even assist a team of reviewers in performing an in-depth analysis.
Prerequisites are:
1. Must have SC2
2. Must play custom games frequently on sc2, and must be able to substantiate that in conversational confirmation.
3. Preferred 18 years of age or older, kids are fickle.
Requirements:
1. Must complete one review every week, that means play a game 3-5 times thoroughly to establish and understanding in order to rate.
2. Must consistently contribute, means if you're too busy don't commit to it.
Benefits:
The custom map reviewer will have access to alot of cool stuff, like the EAGLE platform, free use of our teamspeak server for your maps, etc. Reviewers actively involved will be leading their own reviews within the criteria eventually. If the reviewer contributes, and has other SC2 related interests, I will happily sponsor them till they die!
Interested parties please email me, not pm me, email me @ [email protected] , or by simply singing up in the review forum, we plan on this being a big deal and hope to have you along with us.
//
I also need someone to help with video capture, I own a mac and do not have great video capture capability. All it would take is to occasionally record some in-game footage for me to edit and narrate.//
This seems fairly interesting. it would be nice to see games that are not on the front page given the spotlight. I would help, but im too busy making games rather than playing them :(
