Notes
As this is a BETA version, there may still be a few bugs or balance issues.
I can be contacted on Battle.net in channel and group: DV if you wish to play or have questions/bug reports.
You spent 1 minute and 30 seconds and already start bashing the map.
The terrain is changed, the units are changed. Tier 1, 2, 3 units. Abilities and behaviors added. UI changed, missions, events changed, Income system different and a lot more.
It it less than 10 % of the original map by ButtAirFly. And I didn't steal it if that is what you are implying.
Next time before posting such crap you should check the map more than 2 minutes.
Ok hater, the angry one. The amount of terrain, UI or gameplay changed isnt really change the fact that you still playing the quite same Diplomacy DV map with different setting of age period map.
That you changed the units, abilties, behaviors, missions isnt really much that would change my mind that im playing something totally different and more original. Its just a moddifiaction of what was already made before.
There where no statement that you where stealing the map. I already saw your Thanks notice to Diplomacy DV creator on loading screen.
I for one am thankful that there are at least a few new diplomacy maps coming out.
And Zolden... You know well enough what kind of time a full model port takes. Is it really worth blowing that kind of time on a non-premium (that is to say making money off Blizzard like SCU) map?
The best Diplo maps on WC3 were generally similar to each other. For example, Europa and Shogun were two very good diplo maps but they shared many features and were very very similar, if not exactly the same in terms of gameplay. But they offered different settings and flavor touches, and really that's what players want. You can't really revolutionize the diplo genre. You can add various touches, some tweaks to gameplay mechanics, but the core will always be the same. It's no different than any other genre. Every TD map is essentially the same, but you play them because specific towers are fun or you just like the general feel. SC2 has a distinct lack of good diplo/conquest maps, so anything to fill that void is welcome in my opinion.

Seems like you just used the Diplomacy DV map. Well thats sad, not much of innovation.

Someone said diplomacy dv? It's a phoney! I don't believe that unit is a knight when it look like an archon! use fucking models!
Jesus guys,
I for one am thankful that there are at least a few new diplomacy maps coming out.
And Zolden... You know well enough what kind of time a full model port takes. Is it really worth blowing that kind of time on a non-premium (that is to say making money off Blizzard like SCU) map?
Hybrids get the job done well enough.
