I'll be short , i'm making a little very simple minigame , based on the old map Blood Marathon from WoL. The goal is simple , run across a circolar map while using your imba abilities to block\kill your enemies. Every unit basically have an unique role.
However , even if i find it very fun while played with clan mates , it lacks a bit of "skill-reward ".
My goal is to achieve this. I planned 3 different arenas , one using 3 phaeton textures , one using 2 zerus textures and one "installation" texture , and the last using 3 Moros textures. This really creates a cool atmosphere.
At the moment , units are A LOT! I'm not completely sure if i should include air units , the bigs units in particular. I dont think this would turn out alright. But this is one of the last stuff to check.
So , units are those : SCV , Marine , Reaper , Marauder , Ghost ( my favourite unit T_T ) , hellion\hellbat , tank , widow mine , thor , raven , valkyrie ( yes , the -space- one ). Zealot , Stalker , sentry , ht , dt , immortal , warp prism( not completely sure about its abilities , tough ) , oracle , phoenix , void ray. Roach , Hydralisk , Derpfestor ( infestor ) , Troll Host ( swarm host ) , Ultralisk. Not a complete list tough.
I only completed the Moros arena , a 3-phase arena , where every one phase has different stuff ( Gas turrets , bridges ) .
However , i need help . I absolutely dont know anything about triggers and advanced datas.
I need someone that can script the phases and laps.
Also , i have a couple of answers for you ;
I've seen some maps where in the arcade menù you can chose the "mode" the map is played , for example raynor party has tournaments \ free mode. How can i reproduce this ? Does this link to another map ? I'd like to make the players choose the arena directly here , and scale the minimap\scripts directly from there. Can this be done ?
Trust me , this map is so much fun. Oh , sorry for bad english , i know i'm not that good here ( Shitty Italians school where you only learn basics stuff :D )
