Ok so at first I was an author, and after I posted my SC Expanded map, it promoted, this doesn't seem right to fit,
IM NOT SAYING REMOVE IT
I just wanna know what it means, and why it says Im a manager, I can clearly see i'm a Author, but manager author?
I like it, just, I want some input
Under your "nametag" on the forums it will say either Regular Shmoe, Author, Moderator, or Curse Premium Member.
BUT if you look under a project, like your expanded map, You are the manager of that map, because you uploaded it and you have control over it. You are also an author for the project by default. That just depends on how you set up your team and your own roles.
Your profile will say author if you ever uploaded a project. On project pages, it will show your role in the team project (artist, programmer, ticket manager, manager, author, artist, etc...). For example, I'm a moderator, and therefore it says so under my name on the forums. But if you look at a map/project here it shows my rank in the project.

What if I'd like to upload a map, but I like a "regular shmoe" title better than "author". Would it be possible to remain regular, after uploading something?
I've been under impression than ProzaicMuze is a mod, but his title remained as "author". I guess he's special? :D
Proziac Muse is a special case. Basically, Sixen promoted him to a mod. Then he went inactive for a little while, so the account was changed back to normal (just as a safety precaution, we don't want extra staff accounts floating around ). Then, to our surprise, he posts in the mod forums saying he still had all his mod powers thanks to some bug... Blame the glitched database. Think of him as an undercover cop for mapster. ;)
So no, you can't select what title you want. Once an author, always an author.

Ah, thanks. I thought that something like that would be the case.
Now I wonder if it's possible to erase your upload and be an author without uploading anything D:
