I see folks complaining about some changes, but I can't even get the damn thing installed. Back when 1.5 was in beta I had similar troubles. The installer seems to randomly change between a number of bugs that prevent me from updating. So far either it simply says "updating" and doesn't ever leave 0%, or starts running but then gets stuck at 4%. Back with the beta I got those two errors alongside the one where it would get stuck at 10% and give me a random error message. I'm not sure what it is this patch has that does NOT want to go on my PC.
With the beta I'd already tried everything I thought could work (turn off firewalls, restart PC, run repair, reinstall entire game) and basically just gave up in the end. I guess I'll start at the start of that list again, but does anyone have any suggestions?
Checked them. Most people end up having a different problem than me (i.e. they do get stuck at 4%, but then get an error regarding some file, fiddle with the file and have their problem fixed), and most solutions are 'run as administrator' and 'open ALL THE ports' - I've done both. Currently looking for a link with a manual download. I really have no idea what they changed in their updater, but ever since the last patch (where I also had similar problems) updating SC2 has been impossible for me.
Whenever I have blizzard install issues, the first thing I do is delete the folder "C:\ProgramData\Battle.net", and then delete the folder "C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache". That's always worked for me :)

I can't believe you're the first one to come up with this solution.
It's getting rather boring.

Stand on your hands and clap your feet three times, turn around, drop your pants and flash the webcam.

That sounds like it could work. Will give that a go, but need to restart for it. Will let you know how it went.
It ain't gonna work cause your ignoring my solution ... don't underestimate my proness.

Hooray! Glad it worked :) I actually read about that fix during the D3 beta weekend.
