Hey everyone! Planning on attending BlizzCon this year, because Legacy of the Void's gonna be there (My last chance at a StarCraft RTS BlizzCon reveal for a good while!). But here's the thing, I don't really feel like getting a hotel room only for myself (hard to find + expensive). Anyone mind sharing, or live in the area, or even know a friend who lives in the area, somewhere I could crash? Does any of the SC2Mapster staff feel like sharing a hotel room or a place? I know you guys are headed there for sure. And if you got one extra ticket and need help with coverage, well, I'll take it, feel free to hit me up, cause I'm dying to meet you guys and hang out, perhaps even participate on some of the SC2Mapster coverage work.
And is anyone from Ontario/Quebec/Northeastern US going to BlizzCon this year?
Ahah I don't think people from Québec will go there. I frequently try to go to different events like that and people from Québec are generally banned. A stupid thing from our gouvernment...
Banned from BlizzCon...What are you talking about? x) I've been to both Gamescom and had to back out of E3 due to issues with our plane tickets reservation, but I was registered to go, as well. And I know of many friends who have been to conventions like SD/NY/Toronto Comic-Con and BlizzCon before and are from Quebec.
And I was asking if Canadians are going, but I also sort of mentioned between the lines that I'm asking if any other SC2mapster people are going there, as well.
I recently tried to go on the rock the cabinet contest and people from Quebec cannot participate, so I though it was the same for the Blizzcon...
Rock the Cabinet is not permitted in some places because it is considered a form of gambling (due to the monetary reward, but not contractual labor). In many such places the business has to register for such things, which Blizzard can not always do. Blizzcon has no such restrictions (mind you the tickets sell out pretty much instantly...)

Sweet. We should set up a meet for SC2Mapster people, head to the SC2 and Heroes panels as a gang.
