Come watch members of the development team battle in live Heroes of the Storm (aka The Game Formerly Known as Blizzard All-Stars) matches. Which of your favorite Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo heroes and villains will come out victorious?
If the game used carbot's graphics it would be a success for sure. ;-) But I'm tired of getting news about development changes over and over again, even more than we had for TOFU...
The acronym is BALLS in case you haven't noticed. BAS isn't really better. HotS still roll better. I know, Americans and their silly obsessions with acronyms.
Edit: Just want to add a note that Dustin Browder is currently listed as the Game Director. Kevin Knocke is the one who will cast the Live Game. There is a strong possibility the game may rely on SC2 on several factors (even if it may be standalone)

Don't you mess with our acronyms! Saying the whole word is just too much work.
I'm definitely excited to see what they've got cooked up. Blizzard always makes great stuff. The fact that they've taken so long just emphasizes that they're putting a lot of work into this. My biggest question is whether or not its still going to be part of the sc2 starter edition, or if it it'll have an entirely separate client. If it's the former, we'll get a whole lot of assets to play with :)

there are strong rumors that ecke is involved(the lead designer of sotis) if so, I have no hope for it, also browder, which leaves me thinking what about legacy of the void, also this game is distancing itself further and further from starcraft 2, at this point in time I really dont think its going to be any part of starcraft. or even the same engine.
I'd rly like to see new hero models, blizzad character style is so great. I'm skilled dota player and have 7+ years of experience (played against travka and dkphobos and other dts members in local lan tounaments before they even created this team) and still can't switch to this dota 2 from valve. It's just so ugly icons and character design (no offence dota 2 lovers). Also the feeling of your hero is so different from dota 1. When i'm controling unit in starcraft 2 it feels exactly like in warcraft but smoother. In dota 2 it just feels wrong. Sadly icefrog couldnt find connection points with blizzard. Dota without Samwise is not a dota at all imho.
This doesn't have anything to do with Aeon of Storms, does it?
A blizzard is a type of storm. Considering "Sons of the Storm" uses "storm" as a synonym for Blizzard, I'm guessing that's what they meant for this title as well.
If they are so freaky about company name, they could name the game "snowflakes of the storm". Or "Lots of snow in a cold heavy wind in your faces, bitches!".

Have you watched the video? I'm pretty sure that by "storm", they mean a lightning storm.
Unimpressed with the name. WarCraft, StarCraft, Hearthstone etc all seem better by comparison. Still, it's just a name.

Not sure if serious. I'm not a fan of the name either, but that's not the storm they mean. And yes, I've seen the video. It's a CarBot animation, though, so I wouldn't use that as a basis for anything other than the name being changed.

TL;DR: F2P, game director is still Dustin Browder

HotS (akaTGKaBAS) is a great short title for a game. I wonder what the next title will be...
@Flinkelinks: Go
I hope they don't try something like League of the Vindicators, or Warriors of Lore.
For the record (because no one got it) if you put the names I made into acronym form it's LoTv and WoL, it was a spin on the HoTs acronym.
Ok that name is really weak...
@JacktheArcher: Go
Or simply Battle Warriors. That would indeed be horrible...
Why can't they just keep it as Blizzard All-Stars? Does anyone know this?

Wasn't it Aeons of Strife ? Storms is the SOTIS map IIRC (damn acronyms)
Edit: Never know he renamed it to AOS, that would be like super confusing and quite exploitative

Another free to play game, When will arcade free to play too?
I'm amazed at how much of a shitstorm a name and teaser video can cause.
Personally I'm really excited for the game and can't wait to see how it turned out.
cant wait to watch a illegal stream of the panels :D

Theres a group of Blizz Authors formerly named Sons of the Storm , Thats maybe the reason how they got their name with the Heroes of the "Storm"
