Is there any way to create "ride" type maps such as those from Disney like the Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Masnion? I think it would be awesome to make some sort of cinematic type haunted ride or just plain fun ride map for the sc2 engine.
You can make a unit or whatever it is that rides be followed by player cameras so yea, it is possible to make it. I haven't done any cinematics myself yet but merely from making custom movements for my own map it is clear you can definetely create a rollercoaster kind of thing or like you say, a haunted ride.
This sc2 editor is way more complex then the regular sc editor and thus, I'm having major trouble understanding it. I suppose the learning curve is going to take a while. I figured terrain and unit placement and such. but it seems like events and conditions or very similiar. I'm used to just conditions and actions. Anyways, is there any simple tutorial on placing cameras, cinematic actions, etc.? Just another thought... lol. Could you simulate lines and make a theme park type map where you ride rides and such? lol.

Yes, I've played around a lot with camera triggers with my Movie Contest map and have done similar things with it (making cameras follow a unit).
