I imported a custom model from WoW model viewer and attached the shoulder, wep and helm to it but the helm is always above the model head, I used the SOpAttachHead option in actor>hosting and probably every other Attach option but it's never in the right position, I also wanted to find a hardpoint near the head or on it but cant seem to find the model bone previewer, just the cut scene editor in which I haven't found any kind of bone viewing nor editing
It's possible it doesn't have a "head" attachment point. However you can use local offsets to get the helm to fit correctly on the head. And there is no bone viewing or editing in the galaxy editor, though there is a way to view attachment point positions I just don't know how off the top of my head...no pun intended.
@otto888: Go If its showing above the head maybe the head attachment is up there. If I remember it right the attached model may not show if the correct bone doesn't exist, but it really depends on data. I have no experience with WoW models so I'm not sure if that could be the case.
EDIT: if you open the model's data in the cutscene editor you can actually see the attachment bones it has. You won't know where they are exactly this way but at least you can check if the bone you want is there.
You can actually check to see EXACTLY where they are again though I don't know how off the top of my head. Also he might just have a fallback setup for his attachment point, but you're right it could very well just be up at the top.
Well no it doesn't exactly create a new attachment point per say. It's still attached to the original point but now it's able to be moved. THIS tutorial should help you, though a bit outdated everything in it should still work.

Local offsets? You mean like making custom attachment points? And if so, how can you do that?
Am I seriously the only one in this thread who laughed at the topic title?

Nah I chuckled a bit myself.
