For aura's there is two behaviors, the aura, and the buff. After you have the aura created, you need a way to apply the behavior to the unit not being pre-added. So you take the raw id of the search buff behavior and create a new apply behavior. Then you make a new ability called your aura's name and make it effect instant. Under it's effects set it to apply the behavior you just setup.
Now you make a set ability and add the first level parameters of your aura + you make a dummy effect that you add to the set. The effect is modify unit and you can set whatever you want because it literally does nothing. You you this tooltip to upgrade the damage increments and call on that in the tooltip for updates. You update this threw the upgrades tab, make a new upgrade and add incremental to whatever field your tracking the stats of the aura on.
Now for the button to disappear, you put two buttons on the same spot on the command card. One being the new effect instant and the other being the passive button. You have to make sure the passive button is on TOP of the list so it's the 1st button there. Now in order to make it be greyed out until level up, create a requirement saying like "Whatever Aura Researched" and set it to the passive button.
Now all that's left is to make a trigger that upon leveling up the ability, the 1st tier tech tree unlock the upgrade referenced to the passive button, and order the unit that has the ability to USE it since the way the behavior is applied threw that instant effect is a use setup.
All that's left now is to finish the triggers for each level by updating the upgrade that effects the tooltip and removing + adding the corresponding aura buffs.
