Awesome overview, thanks!
I did use lighting in this, the rocks used to form the cave are actually very foresty. Using the lighting I made them look more Monalyth-ish.
Waves. I didn't know you could add waves to water! Thanks :D
Crystals, I agree with pumaman. I kind of felt they were out of place a little too. . But i needed something to contrast the color of the rocks (or it just looked like a blurry rock slate).
For the waves, you might want to go into the Data module, go to Data type: Water, find the water you used, choose it state. From there you can modify a few things. For the wave effect, it is in the Texture tab and you move the bar of Mesh Roughness. Now you have waves! You might want to set their direction too =P
I think if you want to put crystals outside, put more than 2 of them so we know that it is not a mistake, but something you really wanted to do. =P
Edit: It is funny how fast people are answering tonight xD
I feel that... this picture is epic, you really got what the fog of war is used for. There is also some nice mix of doodate and some camera effect with the field of view. Totally epicness. Bravo! (Joke hahaha)
Here is what I got. As I said, I made a complete Melee map. I like the Terrain design, but there is not enough doodate for me, there is only the foliage. I also don't really like the texture of the bases.
In overall, I still like it. There are many strategies you can do caus of the design. It is so easy to hide a pylon, proxy on the middle high ground, drops, blink, etc. None of the Blizzard's maps are like this one. It migh be cool having one with this design (and more balanced space for the bases). You might notice how thick the platform is compared to normally. I added water and made it reflect without any waves or other effect, so, the platform looks bigger.
It is also published on NA server under the name of Monolyth Underworld.

not too bad
good for playing in lol, not so much for artistic design... still though, as far as actual maps it's good
