High cliffs are easy enough to fake with the new HotS cliff doodads - case in point: the northern border of my new map. As long as you don't want anyone walking around up top at the same time.
Hell, if you don't mind manually creating every cliff face with doodads you can actually make walkable high cliffs with some data editing.
I'd probably be interested in doing a bit of work towards a collaborative campaign project, assuming I don't get myself involved in a personal project that actually sticks around for a while.
There was/is a custom campaign initiative, but how active that is now I’m not sure.
Debe, I just realized you made Brood. I think that's the best custom campaign out there I've tried. It's not perfect, but it's head and shoulders above much of the other stuff.

Indeed?
Nice work, Blizzard's wings of liberty seemed to lack the epic sense of scale within its campaign missions that you and others so quickly provided.
HotS doodads looks better but a temporary fix is making artificial cliffs, these are just all heightened or lowered texture, so unless I don't change the pathing the units can literally walk down that mountain and into the water.
You prob figured out how, but I found out from this
Thanks EivindL, I’ve been enjoying your Crimson Moon campaign the last couple of days as a matter of fact! In all honesty I wasn’t overly pleased with my campaign... It was alright but it needed a lot more work.
For anyone wondering that giant Zerg worm isnt a doodad but a unit called a "Nydus Destroyer" there is also a "Creep Tower" that is also marked as something to do with a Nydus worm. The Nydus Destroyer attacks buildings only and the Creep Tower will sprey creep in a line (about two screens long) every minute or so.
Thought I contribute with some terrans crash-landing a zerg party in the mids of the jungle.
Also, for those who does not have the editor, the beta-editor showcased thus far doesn't have that many new doodads, and 90% of those that are in the editor are placeholders (black-white spheres). So when the full version comes out, there's no doubt we can all do some much greater terrains :)
in third picture at left and right corners doodads, models looks like more closely looking to SC1 zerg buildings death models that really attracts my eye.
I had the same reaction the second time around. That terrain is without a doubt the best SC2 terrain I've seen so far. There's literally nothing I can imagine would improve it.
I've only done a couple playtests vs AI, so I can't vouch for whether it's actually any good as a melee map - I just had fun making it. Certainly not fit for competitive play, but since I don't play competitively that's not much of a concern for me.
No, unless you recreate them in 3Ds-MAX. You just have to wait a little longer for the full release, and you can be sure there will be even more awesome jungle-doodads to choose from in the full release of Heart of the Swarm.

Well seems people forgot about the community project pretty fast then.

Hey I am working on my walker which will be the base of at least 3 bosses for it.

This collaboration stuff sounds like an idea conjured at a drunken party. But sure, go ahead. Maybe you can match whatever I will be making next.

I actually left a comment a while back. You've come a long way, terrain-wise.
Thanks. :)

Man, your stuff is amazing! It sure requires skill to do something so awesome. Would be nice if any of those were released, specially the jungle ones

Ahh thank you! Will try it when I have more time, it's awesome!
Oh my god... Are there any ways to get the Jungle Tileset and doodads without breaking any rules? I am not in the beta and I really want them :o
