So went to miscellaneous first to ask about Lighting, as I wasn't even sure what section I should be playing in to get anything out of those, but after some dabbling with lights I have kind of figured out what I should be asking.
Question #1: How do I get a map to be truly pitch black, but still be able to light it up with floodlights/other things, I have found that setting the colors to all 0 or the intensity to 0 certainly makes for a very dark map, but not even close to pitch black.
Question #2: How do I go about giving a unit a light source ability, a simple circle of varying radius/color would be awesome that I could use on units/doodads.
Thanks for the solution for question #2, now just need to figure out how to make the map in fact, dark. Is there any way to make it dark save where there is external lighting?
