So I’ve been using the editor for 6 years now and have never come upon this issue, I’ve done everything I can think of doing to fix this issue but nothings working. So I have a TD game I’m working on I have 4 different builders with about 8 units per builder. Now I’m creating a custom builder and I have everything working on it except for the few issues I’ve run into with having each of them upgrade to the correctly chosen unit for the builder. Now In order to make this happen what I did was add each upgrade ability to each unit for each type of unit. A total of 4 upgrade abilities per tower/unit. Then I simply use the triggers to hide all the improper abilities for the unit, and show the correct upgrade ability. This works on almost all the units except a few, which yes I have done every test possible to prove the triggers have nothing to do with why 3 of the units can’t be upgraded to. I have checked everything I can think of on the actually button, ability, and unit possible to make sure it has nothing to do with any of that. So I proved that nothing I’ve done has made this happen. Now I always keep my ingame manual testing errors hidden, but I found online that theyre could be an error with too many abilities, so I turned it back on and now for multiple units it says about 5 to 10 times too many abilities for whatever unit. Each of those units the error shows for only has a total of 7 abilities. (The 4 upgrade abilities, than Attack, Salvage, and Stop.) No unit I have created has more than 8 Abilities. The weirdest thing is it shows these errors before those units have even been made once. Which from what I read online is usual why it shows the error multiple times.
I have now even used a trigger to tell me how many and what ability is on each unit and every unit only has the abilities I have added in the data editor. About 8 per unit.
So if anyone can give me any ideas of what in the hell I may be able to check or try to fix these issues that’d be great.
Units morphed from other units count the abilities of all units that can possibly be morphed into towards the cap. This means if you have a unit that can morph into 4 units each with 8 abilities that counts as 36/64 abilities. This is a common issue for TDs where morphing tends to be used heavily. One method to break the cycle is to destroy the unit on morph completion to a dummy unit and then use a create unit effect to replace it. Alternatively use a trigger based system to replace units.

I have got this issue too long time ago, i don't use morph at all, well in very specific cases only. I do spawn a new hero unit for this purpose.
