When I move a unit via trigger, I can set the "blend" parameter to true, so the unit seems to be moving to the target location.
Am I missing something or does a data teleport effect not support something similar? Or is there some other way to realize a data- based, "blended" teleport?
I've looked for the same before and never found a way to do it in the Data Editor. The simple solution is to use a dummy effect, and have a trigger catch the effect and move the unit. I'm sure you've already though about that though
I have no idea but it sounds like something like Zeratul's blink where you can see them moving towards the location although I think they want it to be complete movement towards the location.
If you set up a trigger to move a unit instantly to another position, you can choose, if it should be "blended" or not. If you check, that it should, then the unit appears to move to the target point at very fast speed, instead of just disappearing and reappearing.
A data based teleport effect does not have a similar option.

Zeratul's blink uses 2 smoke-like graphic effects, which sort of connect the source- and target point. Zeratul himself just disappears at the source and reappears at the target.
In this case, I would probably use a dummy missile.
Whatever, I just wanted to know, if a blended teleport like the triggered one is easily possible in data and I just overlooked it. Does not seem to be the case.

Bump, trying to do the same thing, no idea how :(.

What's a "blended" teleport?

"you can see them moving towards the location" wha...? He just disappears and reappears, no?

So then don't use the teleport effect? Apply a behavior buff that increases movement speed by a silly amount and then just move the unit.
Cliffs? Obstackles of any kind? ;)

AbilityMorph, turn into a flyer, the flying version has high movement speed, when you reach the destination morph back.
