I was following a tutorial here and the first time I did it with the weapon it worked fine. However, I started playing around with the actor launch models and screwed it all up. I then deleted the weapon copy, damage effect and attack copy and started over.
I duplicated the Reaper - P-45 Gauss Pistol weapon with the Reaper Attack and Reaper Damage effect checked. It created a new weapon (Reaper - P-45 Gauss Pistol Copy) and the Attack Copy but it didn't link it to the Reaper Attack Copy actor, it instead keeps it at the original Reaper Attack actor. Why doesn't it link the Pistol Copy to the Attack Copy?

Ok, so I think I figured out why this problem is occurring. It might actually be because I copy/pasted instead of duplicating the weapon. Or perhaps I did something wrong when I was trying to reset it to parent?
Anyways, I fixed the issue. What I had to do was go into the weapon properties window of the base weapon (P-45 Gauss Pistol) and check the radial "Field Vales" to "Set To Parent Vale" as it was set on "Do Not Change". Then, I duplicated the weapon with the "Reaper Attack" and damage effect checked and it linked up properly.

In short it is under the events that the stuff is linked.
