I've recently received this "Error" when trying to use the Force Field spell on my Sentry. I haven't changed anything in the Force Field section, but when I try to use it I receive a mesaage saying "Error".
What can cause this problem?
Note: I can use the other abilities of the Hero, it's just the FF that can't be used.
Ahh, stupid me. Well, I changed every alert field to a different alert, and it seems that it still gives me the "Error". I swapped all of them with different ones, but it displays the same message as before.
Not the ability, seems to be the Create Unit effect giving trouble. Cause is the Unit - Spawn Owner - Value field, for some reason it does not like having neutral player.

Edit1: If I change it to Caster, would it have any effect?
Edit2: It might have been because I removed Neutral from the game by an accident.. I will see if it works when I re-enable the Neutral player.
Edit1 Summary: Yep, it worked to cast it now.
Edit2 Summary: Yeah, when I added the Neutral player back into the game, the Force Field worked. I guess it wasn't able to cast a unit that was not controlled by anything.
Thank you SO much for helping me out here DrSuperEvil! If it wasn't for you, I would be stuck in the data editor, when the problem was laying in the players.. :P
Anyhow was just a matter of systematic testing. Did it by replacing the effect on the ability with psistorm persistent, then swapped the create unit effect with the create spider mine, then copied the defective effect and put that in the ability. Finally made a new effect and systematically converted it to the defective one a single field at a time.
Hello there!

go to the UI - Alerts field of all effects and the ability and swap them for a different alert. You can then find what part is causing it.

I can't find what you are talking about.
You want me to go to my hero, and then go to UI: Alerts? If so, there is not alert field there.
Go to the Force Field ability of your hero and any effects the ability uses.

Well you would have to post a map with the problem, or just remake the ability.

Well, I didn't make the ability at all, it was premade by Blizzard. It worked fine yesterday, but not anymore..
Aaarghh.. :P
Whenever I press the button "Force Field" it gives me an error. I have no idea how to recreate the whole Force Field ability either :/
Seems like my map is stuck until this is fixed.
Then post it here so we can take it apart to find the cause.

Hehe, ok, I can see you are online now. Map is added to this post :)
- And now it is removed because the problem is solved ;)

So what do you suggest I do?

Enough to mention me briefly in the credits?
