I know of many WoW or warcraft model packs and such, but what i believe we really need is a big o'l dependency with EVERYTHING in it, all the WOW or warcraft doodads, units, texturesets, a few existing maps, ETC, to greatly assist those making warcraft mods and just general warcraft related things.
i think that all units should have the basics. sounds, attack, preset stats, health-image thingy, the works. so that it would be so much easier for people to develop amazing things. this project would be big, yes... but i feel it needs to happen.
Honestly, Blizzard should of started adding WoW models to the SC2 editor some time ago. Even if they only add 1 or 2 models per week, at least over time we would eventually have a large list of Medieval type art assets.
Many people prefer the medieval fantasy genre for maps far more than the Sci-fi. Let's face it, calling a marine an archer doesn't have the same flare.
yeah, but then again that is just MODELS, this post was about a comprehensive database-type mod/dependency file which contains Units, Sounds, Models, Tilesets, Maps.... everything. however i do think for blizzard to do that would help somewhat.
bump* i could really use some feedback here, all progress on my map is halted until i have access to something like this due to data assets being the only remaining step.

criticize or praise this idea, either way.
