If a Dropship loaded with Marines hover above an exploding Spider mine, the units inside the Dropship takes damage!
Oddly enough, air units are not wounded. Only ground units inside the Dropship... :s
@Kabelkorven: Go Is the damage effect able to damage hidden units? Because I think they count as hidden. They migh as well count as air, so if your Target Filters list has Ground as required you could set Air to excluded, but that would make Colossi immune too.
EDIT: you could give the transported units a behavior to make them invulnerable too.
