That depends on the ability, but there is always a way to make an ability autocast. Sometimes you will need to make an ability trigger another one to get this effect to work.
try checking the flags in the interceptor , its possible its not doing it cause its ALWAYS moving , maybe you need to add a TREISIT flag or something to alow cast on movement, not sure. its kidna weired.
Never tried this myself, but interceptors have constant orders in place due to how they work. As stated above, make sure the ability is flagged as transient and it must be effect - instant. I'm not sure effect - target abilities would work at all, but I've not tried either.
As interceptors are an internal ammo unit they have their orders overridden to attack by the attack ability and the scope of the weapon of the host unit. To get them to autocast you need a bypass by using the issue order effect.

Not really tried alot with internal magazines so always worth a try. Also you could try having a conditional attack where the weapon/attack ability is disabled under certain conditions.

Hey guys, I can't manage to get an interceptor to autocast abilities... is there a flag that I have to check?
you need to check flag: allow auto cast
There is no "allow auto cast" flag...

Great to be back and part of the community again!
It's not the ability that can't autocast; it's the interceptor. I put it on another unit and the autocast worked fine withut any changed options.

In my understanding, checking the "Transient" flag in the ability allows the ability to be cast while moving, which the interceptor is always doing.

Suppose a unit had no attack but was controlled by a hangar system like the interceptor. Could it auto-cast an ability then? How about while moving?

Okay, you might be able to use this method to make it work if that doesn't. http://forums.sc2mapster.com/development/data/21761-use-ability-while-moving/ (Funny enough, I came across your topic when I wanted to do something similar. :))
