Hello, in the most basic beginner terms, how does one make it so that a specific bunker has +15 range to units inside it. Also, how does one give a unit that does not have the bunker range+ behavior said behavior?
@Ares257: Go If you want to give +15 range to only one Bunker but not the others, then I believe you have to create a new Bunker unit. The specific behavior that gives unit extra range is within the bunker's transport ability. All bunkers that shre the same ability will use the same behavior. That's why you need to create a new bunker and give it a new ability.
What do you mean by giving it to a unit that doesn't have it? Another unit with the transport ability, like Command Centers or Medivacs?
It's not a single bunker, its a singe type of bunker. My game has 10 different types at the moment, and I'd like to make one that gives a stupid amount of range.
Also, one of those units stems from a photon cannon, so it does not automatically have the +range even when I add the load and attack redirect.
You can add a new Transport ability, which applies another behavior to the transported units. The default bunker transport ability adds a behavior with +1 range, just make a custom one with +15.
Ok, do what I said, create a new Bunker unit and give it a new transport ability. This new ability is just like the old one (duplicate the original). Then you have to create a new behavior based on the original one and change the duplicated ability to use the new behavior instead of the old one.
Wait, is that "Photon Cannon" a new transport unit? I'm a little confused.
@Ares257: Go So, you gave it the bunker's abilities and it doesn't give loaded units the +range behavior? Are you sure you gave it the correct ability?
@Ares257: Go You need to create a new behavior, based on the original one: Bunker - Range Bonus. Then in your new bunker ability use this new behavior in the field Load Cargo Behavior. Give this ability to your new Bunker unit and you're good to go.

Yes. All the buildings in the game are loadable structures like bunkers.

I am in the bunker range's data editor, what do I change to change range?
