So with my Broodwar mod for SC2 that I have been working on since like yesterday I have decided to also change every sound to their SC1 counterpart. With my mod I started rebuilding the SC1 zerg tech tree and units etc first. Wont move to other races until this one is finished. Anyways, so I imported the sounds, saved, reloaded map you know and then I go to add/replace them. Now I got them all set up like in starcraft 1, and they play if I preview them in the editor, but in game they do not play. Currently the Hydralisk does not have any sounds except for its attack sounds which I left unchanged. Also changed the announcer voice to the overmind, and guess what, no sound plays if the conditions for them are met (not enough minerals, spawn more overlords etc)
Anyone know what I need to do to get this working? As a side note anyone have any ideas how I will recreate SC1's armor system? I'd prefer to stay strictly data as it is a mod but if there really is no other way triggers are fine I guess.
The thing about a mod is, if you're using any custom models/sounds, you need to also import them in the map that's running the mod, otherwise the game won't load them. I had this problem with Underp4nts's Sarah Kerrigan (ghost) model, I imported it in the mod but in the game it displayed as a yellow placeholder sphere until I imported it in the map as well. I don't think there's a way to have a mod with custom sounds/graphics run on just any old map.

So all I have to do is just import them all onto the map and it should work? Or do I have to relink them as well?
Did you ever get this working in the end? I too am creating a mod and have imported all my sounds into a mod file called 'Soundbank'. (it is rather large as they are all wavs at the moment!) I'd like to be able to reference these sounds from my map file(s) but cannot seem to find a path to them through the Sound link in the Trigger editor.
I have referenced the 'Soundbank' mod file as a dependency but this doesnt appear to have made a difference.
Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave.

No one knows anything about this?

They should all still be linked to the units' actors (that part comes from the mod, not the map), all you need to do is import them.

Doesn't work still. I've even tried to re-add the sounds on the map, and it does nothing. They do not play at all for some reason.

Bump.
