I was screwing around a lot with the applyforce effect so i made this buff that periodicallyapplies force to a unit.
The thing is, the unit always walks the same direction and ive tried a lot of stuff but cant get it to walk in the direction the unit is facing or just a different angle.
Just wondering if it is possible to have the apply force move the unit toward its facing with an offset.
Instead of using a Buff to periodically fire the Force Effect use a Persistent with a Period Duration, a Period Count and the Force Effect as the Periodic Effect. Then you can specify the Offset within the Persistent, just be careful that you choose the right Locations for the Persistent and Force Effects :)
ok cool, i will be trying this somewhere today, i never worked with persistent effects before because they looked kinda scary to me so ill prolly be back later with more questions ;] Thx for the time

Do it! :) Persistent effects are the most useful thing ever and they are actually not hard to understand after you used them a couple of times.

If you apply a force with a buff you need to use a field that seems to only be used by the mothership vortex which detrmines the direction of origin.
