I have two questions about the data editor:
1. Why are some fields locked for editing? I tried to give a ghost a "detector behaviour" by following a tutorial. According to the tutorial I should add an item to the ghosts behaviour stack called Detector 10. I found both items (ghost and Detector 10) but I could not change the behaviour item list of the ghost unit. It was locked!
2. The options available for each unit varies. This is really frustrating because I can't see any method of adding items. Like for an instance: if I would like to add a skybox to a prefabricated terrain item that does not have one, I cant just add a "skybox" item to the list.

I tried not to duplicate the ghost unit, just add a behaviour to the default unit. Duplication means that I have to start poking around with actors = bugs bugs bugs :)

The only reason for your ghosts fields to be locked I can think of would be, that you edited other fields for the ghost already. This causes the game to create a duplicate of the ghost, making the original ghost inaccessible. It also hides the ghost from the list, unless you checked the Display Objects of all Sources view option, which would result in 2 versions of the same ghost show up: One non-editable ghost in the Wings of Liberty dependency and one changeable ghost with edited settings in your map's dependency.

Which of the default terrain objects has a skybox field? I cannot find one.
I created a "new map" but could still not add a behaviour to the ghosts list of behaviours. Perhaps I'm getting something wrong with the tutorial. It said that I should be able to select the Ghost unit in the Unit data tab, click behaviour tab and add a new behaviour to the a list. The behaviour list does not appear and if I right click anywhere in the unit info tree (with the linked abilities, actors, behaviours, buttons etc.) I can only "view" the linked items. There is no "add" option.

Sorry, it was supposed to be Terrain Type (objects). If you compare the options of "Castanar (Installation)" and "Agria (Jungle)", only Castanar has a "Background Model (Fixed)" option.
I have the impression that you are doing it wrong (or the tutorial makes you stupid because the tutorial is wrong). :D
Also, there is no add option in the object explorer (the thing in the bottom left area of the screen). That only shows most of the linked objects.
You edit these things only in the right side of the area.
If you can't get it to work, please provide the following screenshots:
- screenshot of where you want to add the behavior to the ghost + error message. It would be helpful, if we can see the selected line in the top left editor area, too. Then we know where and what you try to edit. Basically we want to exactly follow your steps how you got to the point where you experience the problem.
- screenshot with the big buttons (which gives us your data module settings)
- maybe a screenshot of your dependencies, too. We should be able to experience exactly the same with all of these information.

Can you upload screenshots where you click?

Huh?! Suddenly the add behaviour field appeared. Strange... I must have done something wrong before. Thanks for helping :)
