Hello everyone, can somene help me with this sort of ability?
I dont have any idea how to create this passive ability.
I try to look at behaviors things, but nothing looks nice for this idea.
And of course, ability designed to return % of damage, not all, like wc3 spider hero from frozen throne.
To me it seems there isn't a completely working data editor only solution to return a precise % damage back. I've tried damage response effects, negative damage leeching, modifying unit hp by %, don't work as intended.
Make a large search area to apply two buffs: One to your units (the "shield"), and a buff to enemy units that make them lose life equal to damage dealt. Put a validator on the second buff effect so it works on only the units with the "shield" ability on them.

But still is there way with damage response? Because i dont get any nice field in this modificator about this.

my guess is a damage response effect "defensive"
dunno if that will work though if it doesnt any a field already for returning damager..
it could be triggered easily enough.
