Ive currently been messing around with the Galaxy Editor and i've decided to make a Ruined town. Ive placed down the Doodad "Rubble Wall 45" In ways to shape out buildings etc. Problem is when i tested the map my marine was able to simply walk Through the walls. I've looked all around in the Data and Double clicking on the unit in Terrain but i cant figure out how to make it repel units like a wall is suppose to do. Any help would be awesome!
That has to do with the "footprint". Doulbe click on the doodad to make sure the footprint isn't disabled, otherwise add one in the data editor; a simple 1x1 should work if its standard sizes (ie no scaling).
xD I did try the Footprint edit thing when double clicking on the doodad. Didnt help at all that i noticed. I was finally able to fix my problem by simply adding a "No pathing" point underneath the walls ive placed, making it so nothing can pass through it. Id like help with a second problem though. I dont want my units to be able to see on the other side of the wall, kind of like how a tree will block your vision untill you go around it.
Well i figured that out as well, left it alone then came across it when messing around with doodads. Thought id post here in case someone else was wondering the same thing. Under doodads. "Curtain (LOS BLOCKER) Invisible" Is what i used, i simply placed them underneath my walls and bam no line of sight. Also helped show me how crooked my walls were xD gave me a good line to follow to make them nice and straight.
